• My husband and I went through the China special needs program with CHI and came home with our beautiful daughter in October. She was almost 2 years old at the time and she is a joy! Her SN was cleft lip, which had already been repaired and does not require any further surgery. All of the medical information we received was accurate and our daughter had only minor developmental delays which she has already overcome. We worked closely with Michele Jordan, who is a pro at this and made the paperwork go smoothly. The process took less than a year, including all of the initial paperwork. China has an excellent, well-established waiting child program and we are very pleased that we decided to go this route.

• We also adopted a waiting child from China through Children's House International, with wonderful help from Michele Jordan! Our daughter was 15 months old with cleft lip and palate when we adopted her in July of 2005. Her lip was repaired before we got there (but this was a suprise to us) and so all that was needed was her palate repair, which we did right away when we traveled through the states on our way back to our home in Germany. We had adopted a cleft lip and palate child prior to our China adoption, so we knew the ropes and had the surgery lined up ahead of time. She has some speech problems but they are typical and expected for a child who did not have her palate repaired until that age. With speech therapy we are confident she will overcome these issues. The process in China was so smooth. We were very pleased with our experience. Our experience with CHI and especially with Michele Jordan was outstanding. Michele went WAY out of her way to serve us in every way possible. She really made things very easy for us. She is so dedicated to her work because her heart is for the children and for the families too. I would highly recommend Michele and CHI!

While at the symposium we met a lawyer who we chose to work with on our adoption plan. Her name is Michele Jordan, and working with her has been an amazing experience!
